What are your hobbies?

I have been playing ball and singing since childhood, and have tens of thousands of people listening to the songs I post on an app. I recently got involved in the Chinese Taoist culture, especially the Seven Star Sword of the Liang Yi swords, and like it very much. (The main thrust of this ancient Chinese philosophy/religion is to follow the Dao, or the path, the way, in order to be sensitive to how the universe works and live in harmony with it.) I hope to have the opportunity to go to Wudang Mountains in China and take my colleagues to practice this swordsmanship and experience being on top of the mountain and seeing the range. This new hobby stimulates me to return to the competitive state I had when I was younger by improving my physical strength and energy. It makes me feel more at ease and energetic when working.

What do hobbies mean to you?

Hobbies cultivate character and allow me to meditate. They also allow my friends and clients to understand me multidimensionally and more comprehensively. Finally, I feel having hobbies perfectly embodies MDRT’s Whole Person concept.

How do you prioritize taking care of your mental and emotional well-being?

I do this by getting in touch with the essence of traditional Chinese culture, such as literature, traditional Chinese medicine and Taoism. In this way, I develop hobbies in other fields, as well as a rich spiritual world. Taking care of my mental and emotional health helps me develop a sound personality and the stability to cope with the stress caused by work and life changes. Finally, I feel that maintaining stable emotions and spirituality enables me to practice correct values, exude positive energy, take better care of my family, and meet people who share the same hobbies and become my friends.

How do you encourage people to take care of their mental and emotional health?

I think that, at least in this era, we must look at our profession from a long-term perspective. You must have a healthy body and maintain a positive state so that you can continue to have an elevated level of competitiveness and enrich your spiritual world. The main reason I focus on developing hobbies and nourishing my spiritual side is that I want to become a staunch supporter of the Whole Person concept. If I practice it persistently, I won’t blindly follow or be anxious about things I cannot control, like geopolitics and the economy. By staying calm when looking at the long term, I can enter into the best state of mind. I believe that the future will be very beautiful, and I will get better and better. This is what I often share with other people: Place an order with the universe and make yourself better and better.
